Revitalisation Commences

Turbot Street Underpass

Update 1, 24 March 2023

Following consultation with Brisbane City Council and stakeholders we are pleased to advise that the Turbot Street Underpass Revitalisation project is set to commence on Monday 27 March 2023.

Heritage Lanes have worked with the local community and  the feedback received has assisted with planning to ensure the revitalisation of this public space will be a welcome addition for our local community.

The first phase of this project will be a public art installation, by local artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins.  Collins’ artwork titled An Afternoon Low Tide will decorate the soffit of the underpass structure.

From Monday 27 March the underpass area, as indicated in yellow below will be fenced to allow for this project to commence.

Motorcycle parking will not be available in this area moving forward. The closest motorcycle parking is on North Quay and on Turbot Street (near Edward Street).  View available Motorcycle parking in the Brisbane CBD here.
