80 Ann partners with Vast Yonder and Reactivate Consulting for 2020 Brisbane Street Art Festival
When complete, 80 Ann Street will be one of Australia's most advanced commercial towers, and while our team is hard at work constructing this spectacular new addition to the Brisbane skyline, there’s plenty happening at ground level too.
As part of the 2020 Brisbane Street Art Festival, we partnered with Vast Yonder and Reactivate Consulting to to engage four up-and-coming artists to activate 62m of our Ann Street hoarding through large-scale immense and interactive works. Each piece has been inspired by the history of the site, which from 1906 to 1964 was the Brisbane Fruit and Produce Exchange.
Each artist drew inspiration from the old Fruit & Produce Exchange that once lived on the site, and students from Little Scholars, Calamvale Community College and Loganlea State High School had the unique opportunity to experience street art installation firsthand, and tour some of the artists’ nearby studios.
Enhancing the streets surrounding the construction site and welcoming the community to explore the Brisbane CBD in a new way, the artworks will remain on display over the next year and begin to realise the vision for the 80 Ann ground plane.
Huge thanks to our artists:
