New Anniversary Artwork Commission

Expressions of Interest is Now Open

120 years of history. One extraordinary canvas.

In 1906 the Brisbane Fruit and Produce Exchange opened on this very site. 120 years later, Heritage Lanes stands in its place, and we are commissioning a new artwork to mark the moment.

At the heart of the building sits one of the largest digital screens in the world. 232 square metres. 16K resolution. Seen by thousands of people every day in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. It is one of the most significant digital art environments in the country.

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from artists across Australia, and particularly those with a connection to Brisbane and South East Queensland, to respond to this site, its stories and its 120 years of history.

You do not need to be a digital artist to apply. The commission is open to all career stages and practices, and full technical support will be provided by @spacesuitandco throughout the process.
