Let's Keep Sorting It

Sustainability initiative continues with behind-the-scenes waste tours...

Planet power was in full force at Heritage Lanes last week – from Global Recycling Day to Earth Hour! The highlight? Sustainability guru Lottie Dalziel from Banish helping our community test their eco-knowledge and learn how small changes make a big impact.

With Heritage Lanes collecting a whopping 440 tonnes of waste yearly, knowing which bin is which really matters! As one of Brisbane's most sustainable buildings, we're proud to walk the talk when it comes to waste management. Our recent event featured interactive games, eco-prizes from Mumbleberry Providore, and eye-opening lunch and learn about recycling myths.

The biggest takeaway? Small changes really do make a difference. From properly sorting waste to understanding which recycling symbols actually matter, participants left with practical knowledge they could immediately apply. Trashy Trivia was particularly popular, challenging common misconceptions about what can and can't be recycled.
